Tyria eyes breakthrough with 'Slow Motion'

Fast-rising dancehall artiste Tyria is eyeing a musical breakthrough with her debut single, titled Slow Motion.

The song, which was produced by Blaq Kings Music Group and Renegade Muzik, was released on Tyria's Vevo channel on August 2.

Tyria said that she is pleased with the response that the song is getting.

"The feedback I'm getting about my single is very good. I'm getting a lot of positive messages on Instagram and Facebook from people all over the world about it. It's a very good song, and I'm working hard with my team to make it a hit," she said.

The vivacious singjay, who hails from the city of Montego Bay, is confident that she has what it takes to be the next big female dancehall star.

"I'm a very versatile artiste, and I am talented and beautiful. I know I can make it all way to the top of the game. I'm going to be the next big female act in dancehall music," said Tyria.

She also expressed her confidence in her team, saying: "Nos Trac Productions is dealing with my bookings internationally, and they're working very hard to launch my career overseas. Blaq Kings Music is also playing a major role in my development as an artiste."

Tyria, born Tyria Irving, grew up in a district called Lilliput in the Rose Hall area of Montego Bay. She migrated to Antigua in 2015, where she completed her high-school education at the Christian Faith Academy before returning to Jamaica in 2016 to pursue a career in music. Before that, she attended Montego Bay and Spot Valley high schools.
