Police search for taxi operator accused of assaulting schoolgirl

Investigators in Portmore, St Catherine are searching for a taxi operator who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in the parish recently.

Reports are that the suspect, who hails from the Greater Portmore community, carried out the act in late October.

The accused said to have lured the child to his home,where he sexually assaulted her.

A subsequent report was made after the victim started acting strangely and revealed her ordeal.

The police have since launched an investigation into the matter.
