Scott leads Jamaican quartet at Doha Diamond League

WORLD leader in the men's triple jump Jordan Scott will be one of four Jamaicans who will be in action at today's Wanda Diamond League in Doha, Qatar, the seventh stop in the series.

Scott, with a season's best of 17.66 metres, will begin competing at 11:26 a.m. Jamaica time. He is  tied at the top of the standings on 15 points with Andy Diaz Hernandez of Italy.

Intermediate hurdler Rushell Clayton, coming off two third-place finishes, will contest the women's 400m hurdles at 12:04 p.m. Jamaica time. She is second in the standings on 19 points, behind the unbeaten Ema Zapletalova of Slovakia, who leads the event with 24 points.

Raymond Richards will be on duty in the men's high jump at 12:10 p.m. Seventh in the standings on two points, he will be hoping to score valuable points and move up the rankings.

The final Jamaican in action will be Kemba Nelson who will contest the women's 100m at 12:24 p.m. She has a season's best of 11.08 seconds.

All four Jamaicans are also listed to compete at the JAAA/Puma  National Senior and Junior Championships, which started yesterday. Scott, Clayton and Richards are down to compete in their respective events on Sunday.  The 100m  is slated to begin with preliminary-round action today.
